Are you looking to setup a wired or wireless network? We can
help, especially on the wireless side. Our owner is a Cisco Certified Network
Administrator, Certified Wireless Network
Administrator (CWNA) as well as being certified in Aruba Networks and Trapeze
Networks wireless equipment. We also have a ton of experience with Linksys
(Cisco) and D-link equipment. We can offer personalized quotes on larger systems.
Do you want to do something funky like setup a
wireless to Ethernet
bridge to connect systems in an inaccessible location? We can help with
that. We recently moved one of our offices to a room with no network jacks.
Instead of spending entirely too much time and effort running a network cable to
the office we just simply setup an old Linksys WRT-54GS as a bridge using
Tomato firmware. We have several
PCs connected via a Cisco 3550 layer 3 switch with no pesky wires and still
getting 20 Mb/s downloads. We can do the same for you in your home or office.
Another popular application for a wireless bridge is
home theater. Do you have a bunch of gear like
satellite or cable receivers, Xbox 360, PS3, Sony Bravia Internet Video Link,
etc. that only have Ethernet interfaces? We can connect them all together and
bridge them over wireless to your existing wireless access point (WAP).
How about an even bigger setup. We have worked with customers
who need to run a network out to multiple locations in a campus environment or a
single location over a long distance, but don't have a way to run cables at all
or don't want to spend a ton of money on a leased line connection. How about a
wireless link between the locations instead of trying to dig and lay cables or
spending money every month for a dedicated circuit? WiFi has the capability to
go up to multiple miles using the right equipment. We have even had customers
running Voice Over IP (VoIP) over these links with no problems.
What about upgrading to the latest and greatest,
802.11n. 802.11n promises huge increases from 802.1b/g with data rates up to
300 Mb/s and higher. The reality of wireless networking is that your 54 Mb/s
802.11g networking equipment has a general throughput of about 20-25 Mb/s.
802.11n can offer well over 100 Mb/s throughput which is a very significant
increase. In addition to greater speeds it can also offer a larger coverage area
and better reliability.
